What a Difference A Year Makes: Celebrating my WELLNESS-versary

It seems like just yesterday! Just yesterday I was trying plain, black coffee for the FIRST time. Just yesterday I was experimenting with HIIT workouts and feeling so incredibly out of shape. Just yesterday I was pushing myself to get in 10k steps a day, give intermittent fasting a try and measure my food servings. Just yesterday …

And here we are one full year later! So very much has changed. So very much has shifted. And I am grateful.

I have a new community of friends and family. Not that the people are new – well, some of my FitFam peeps are – but the ways in which they show up in my life are reNEWed.

I have new ways of travel, no longer confined to where I will grab food or alcohol but what new places can I explore? What new ways can I incorporate movement?

I have new rituals that include early mornings – which I’ve grown to adore – and taking my behind to bed to get a full night of rest, restoration and recovery.

In one year – just one year – my life has been completely changed. I believe in so many ways my heart has healed, my mind has healed and yes, my body has healed.

I DO feel lighter, yes physically, but also emotionally. And likewise, I feel physically stronger BUT also spiritually and emotionally stronger.

Never in one million years did I imagine investing in my physical health in such a devoted manner would yield so many other benefits in EVERY other area of my life.

For these and so many other blessings, I give thanks. Happy one year WELLNESSversary to ME!
